Reviews & completed jobs¶
Mark the job completed¶
When the work is finished, open the Provider Portal's history table and press Mark completed on the booking.
Accepting a booking only ever means "yes, bring the car in". Nothing else records that the job was actually done — so if you never mark bookings complete, your history is a list of jobs that look permanently in progress, and no customer is ever invited to review you.
You can note the Odometer now (km) when you complete it. It's optional, but it updates the customer's odometer and keeps their service reminders accurate.
You can only complete a booking you accepted. A pending or declined booking cannot be completed.
How a review happens¶
Marking a job complete sends the customer a notification inviting them to rate it. They give:
- a rating from 1 to 5,
- an optional comment,
- an optional photo.
One review per job. They can edit it for 7 days, after which it is fixed.
Reviews go live straight away — a new or edited review changes your rating immediately.
What shows publicly¶
On your public page and on your card in search results:
- your average rating and the number of reviews;
- each review's rating, comment and photo.
Reviewers are anonymous. Every review is attributed to "Verified customer" — never a name, and never anything that identifies the person. This is deliberate and not configurable.
Ratings and where you rank¶
Once you have real reviews, your real rating is what customers see and what determines where you appear in recommendations. There is one number, used for both.
A new business is marked as new, not as bad
A listing with no reviews yet does not get a fabricated score and is not ranked as though it scored zero. It is shown as new. You are not punished for being new — but you do not benefit from a rating you have not earned either.
If a review is unfair¶
There is no button to remove a review, and we do not remove them on request — a help center that quietly deleted bad reviews would make every good one worthless.
If a review is abusive, contains personal information, or is clearly about a different business, contact us with the details and we will look at it.
The better answer is usually volume: consistently completing jobs and inviting reviews moves an average far faster than arguing about one of them.
