Getting started¶
What does it cost to be on Markaba AI?
Commercial terms are in the agreement you sign with us, not on this site — and deliberately so. A number published here would go stale, and would be read as an offer.
Ask us and we will put the current terms in writing.
I found my business already listed. Who put it there?
We do. Markaba AI lists the market so car owners can find every workshop in an area, not only the ones who have signed up.
A listing we created is listing only — it cannot take bookings. To claim it and start receiving work, contact us. Please do not create a second listing; a duplicate splits your reviews and bookings across two pages.
How long does verification take?
We do not publish a turnaround time, because a number we could not always hit would be worse than no number. What speeds it up is a legible trade licence photo with the application.
My application was rejected. What now?
Every rejection comes with a reason. Read it, fix it, and apply again — a rejection is not permanent.
Taking bookings¶
Why is there no Book button on my listing?
Your business is listed but not yet registered for bookings. See Getting listed.
If you are a car wash or a logistics provider, the most common cause is an empty service menu — that is enforced, and it is the first thing to check.
Do I have to accept every booking?
No. Every booking arrives as a request and you accept or decline it. Declining releases the slot immediately for another customer — it does not take your slot out of service.
I accepted by mistake. Can I undo it?
Not from the portal — a response is final, so that two people at one front desk cannot flip each other's answers. Contact us and speak to the customer directly.
Two of my staff are watching the queue. What happens if both respond?
The first response wins and the second gets a clear error. The answer never silently flips.
The WhatsApp Accept button did nothing.
We check that the reply came from the WhatsApp number on your listing. A tap from any other number is ignored. If your business number has changed, tell us.
Can someone book me without creating an account?
Only if we have enabled it for your business — it is off by default. Ask us if you want it. It is worth having if you get walk-up trade from a QR code or a shop sign.
Prices and availability¶
How do I price a job I can only quote after seeing the car?
Use price on request. Do not enter 0 — zero means free, and tells every customer and
the AI assistant that you are giving that work away. See

I blocked a day but bookings are still on it.
Blocking stops new bookings. It does not cancel ones already confirmed. Contact those customers or decline the bookings, then block the date.
Can I take more than one car in the same time slot?
Yes — raise your slot capacity in Availability & Pricing. Set it to what you can service, not what you can park.
Why is a customer seeing an old price?
They are not. The price charged is always re-read from your menu on our side when the booking is made, never taken from the customer's screen.
Reviews¶
No one reviews me.
The most common cause is that bookings are never marked completed — completing a job is what invites the review. See Reviews & completed jobs.
Can I get a bad review removed?
Not on request. If a review is abusive, contains personal information, or is about a different business, contact us. Otherwise the answer is volume — consistently completing jobs moves an average faster than arguing about one review.
Who are these reviewers? I want to call them.
Reviews are anonymous — every one shows as "Verified customer", and that is not configurable.
Suppliers¶
My upload said 'already listed by another supplier'.
A part at a given condition can be listed by one supplier. The catalog holds a single retail price per tier, so the second trader to upload the same part at the same condition is told it is taken. If this is blocking real business, tell us.
Will re-uploading my sheet create duplicates?
No — as long as your part names stay the same. Same name updates the same listing. Change the spelling and you get a second listing.
A price change was rejected as too large.
Anything more than ±80% from your last upload is held as a typo guard. If the change is real, contact us — re-uploading will not get it through.
Do I get paid through Markaba AI for wholesale orders?
No. Wholesale money settles directly between you and the workshop. The payment terms on an order are a record of what you agreed, not an instrument — we do not collect, hold, guarantee or transfer it.
Does confirming an order reduce my stock here?
No. Your stock is whatever your last upload said and your next upload overwrites it. Your own system stays the authority on what you hold.
