Wholesale orders

Separate from selling parts to car owners, you can sell to workshops at trade prices. A workshop browses your catalog, builds a basket, and sends you a purchase order.

This is entirely optional. If you do nothing, you simply do not appear in the wholesale catalog.

Opting in: give us a trade price

There are two ways, and you need one of them:

1. A per-part trade price — add a wholesale_price_aed column to your catalog CSV and fill it for the parts you sell wholesale. This is the precise option.
2. A flat trade discount — a single percentage off your retail price, applied to everything. Ask us to set it. This is the quick option.

If a part has an explicit wholesale price, that wins. Otherwise the flat discount applies. A part with neither is simply not in the wholesale catalog — that absence is how you opt out, part by part. There is no separate switch to keep in step.

How an order reaches you

1. A workshop browses and compares wholesale prices.
2. It builds a basket and submits a purchase order.
3. The order appears in your Supplier Portal under Incoming purchase orders, and you get an email.

One purchase order is always one supplier. A workshop buying from three suppliers sends three separate orders, so every order you see is a decision only you have to make.

Prices are re-read on our side

The price on the order is the one from your catalog at the moment the order was placed — not whatever the workshop's screen had cached. A workshop cannot submit an order at a stale or edited price.

Orders are also refused at placement if the listing is stale or you do not have the stock. Another reason to keep uploading.

Responding

Confirm, reject (a reason is required), or the workshop may cancel while the order is still pending. Once you confirm, the workshop can no longer cancel unilaterally — you have committed stock and, on net terms, extended credit, so cancelling stops being a one-click action.

When the goods are delivered, mark the order fulfilled.

Each response is final. You cannot confirm an order and then reject it.

Money settles between you and the workshop

No payment runs through Markaba AI for wholesale

This is the most important thing on this page. A purchase order records payment terms — on delivery, net 7, net 15, or net 30 — as a note of what you agreed. It is a record, not an instrument.

Markaba AI does not collect, hold, escrow, guarantee or transfer wholesale money. Invoicing, payment and chasing it are between you and the workshop, exactly as they would be without us.

We would rather be blunt than have you assume you are covered.

Who can buy wholesale

Only verified workshops. Extending trade credit to an unvetted business is a real commercial risk, so the same verification that lets a workshop take bookings gates its ability to order from you.

Any workshop can browse and compare prices regardless — which is good for you, since your prices are visible to businesses still working through verification.

One thing that surprises people

Confirming or fulfilling an order does not reduce the stock number on your listing. Your stock figure is whatever your last upload said, and your next upload overwrites it — so anything we decremented here would be wiped out on your next sync anyway.

Stock is an advisory signal, checked once when the order is placed. Your own system remains the authority on what you actually hold.
